Letterbook, 1875-1880.

The record consists of a 478 pp. letterpress copybook of Gardner's outbound correspondence from 1875 to 1880. Gardner considered this his personal private correspondence, as he took it with him after leaving the PRR. It consists of letters that were not treated as part of his ordinary railroad correspondence.
